Position Overview:

DAYTON-GRANGER, INC. (DG) is a third-generation family-owned aerospace manufacturer in Fort Lauderdale, FL that has been proudly operating for more than 82 years. The Technical Configuration Management Specialist helps keep DG's technical records accurate, organized, and up to date. This role supports Engineering, Document Control, and Manufacturing by processing change requests, updating documents, maintaining revision control, and coordinating the release of drawings and information used on the production floor. This is not an engineering role - it is a documentation and administrative support position that works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing. Ideal for candidates with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and experience supporting technical or production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process engineering change requests (ECRs), engineering change notices (ECNs), and manufacturing change requests (MCRs).
  • Support updates to BOMs, work instructions, runtimes, tooling details, and other production documentation.
  • Maintain accurate revision control for drawings, specifications, and technical records.
  • Create and update items, drawings, and linked data in INFOR (or similar ERP).
  • Release new or updated documents in alignment with production and work order requirements.
  • Ensure documentation meets ISO 9001, AS9100, and ITAR/EAR compliance standards.
  • Maintain organized records in IDM, PLM, SharePoint, or other document management systems.
  • Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure documentation reflects current processes.
  • Assist with templates, labels, and reports using Bartender or equivalent software.
  • Support audits, configuration reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned and follow all Dayton-Granger safety procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering, Business, or other technical field).
  • 3+ years of experience in document control, engineering documentation, or manufacturing administrative support.
  • Experience with ERP systems (INFOR preferred) and document management tools (IDM, PLM, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, BOM structures, and revision changes.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 requirements and ITAR/EAR data rules.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
  • Ability to work across departments and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CATIA or similar CAD software.
