Job description

CASHIER

Job Description:

Responsible for making Coffee/Tea, cooking soups, set up displays, condiment station set up, and FOH set up. Performs duties of cashier such as operation and cash flow, verify initial cash, and answer phone. Makes beverages, keeps FOH stocked, frosts cakes, cuts bars/brownies, empties trash at end of shift or as required. Assists with cleanup/ sweeping as required and mops as required. May substitute for Expo, or bussing if needed and trained.


Essential Functions:

  • Make Coffee/Tea

  • Responsible for cooking soups

  • Responsible for set up displays

  • Responsible for condiment station set up

  • Responsible for FOH set up

  • Responsible for cashier station (operation and cash flow)

  • Verify initial cash

  • Answer phone

  • Makes beverages

  • Responsible for keeping FOH stocked

  • Frost cakes

  • Cut bars/brownies

  • Empty trash at end of shift or as required

  • Cleanup/ sweep as required

  • Mop as required


Requirement:

  • Average hours per week: 25

  • Shift: All, Open/Mid/Close

  • Open = 6:00am – 1:00pm

  • Mid = 8:00am – 2:30pm

  • Close = 11:30am – 5:00pm

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Stand: 85%

  • Walk: 15%

  • Continuous finger grip and fine manipulation, including:

  • Operate cash register

  • Manipulate currency

  • Writing – Typing on a computer keyboard

  • Calculator

  • License or Certificate required:

  • Must have SSN#

  • Experience or Training required:

  • Must write/speak English. Must have basic math skills. Must demonstrate strong people skills.

  • Must successfully complete CBC training.
