Job description

You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients.
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic x-ray examinations. The primary responsibilities include positioning patients, applying radiation protection measures, operating radiology equipment, and ensuring the technical quality of images. This role involves maintaining digital records and equipment, as well as prepping image discs for patients and physicians.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic x-ray examinations per care center protocols.
  • Position patients correctly and apply proper radiation safety measures.
  • Operate radiology and PACS equipment, maintaining image quality.
  • Prep QR codes or burn image discs for patients and referring physicians.
  • Maintain radiology equipment and ensure room cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications
  • State-level X-ray certification or equivalent.
  • Current ARRT registration preferred but not required if licensed/certified at the state level.
  • Previous experience in Orthopedics, Urgent Care, or ER settings is a plus.

Skills
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and digital PACS systems.

Additional Requirements
  • Standard weekday schedule; openness to work one weekend day per month with compensating time off.
