Job Title: CT Technologist (New Graduates Accepted)

Location: North Charleston, SC
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

· Perform specialized CT imaging procedures in accordance with radiologist protocols

· Position patients accurately using appropriate immobilization and protective equipment

· Adhere to ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety principles

· Prepare imaging rooms, equipment, and patients for procedures

· Explain procedures and provide patient education to ensure comfort and understanding

· Operate CT scanner (GE) and adjust imaging parameters as required

· Evaluate images for technical quality, perform window/level adjustments, and ensure proper labelling

· Transmit images to PACS for interpretation

· Assist radiologists during procedures, including IV starts and contrast administration when applicable

· Load and operate power injectors for contrast delivery

· Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

· Assist with scheduling and clerical duties, including billing support

· Ensure safety protocols for patients, visitors, and staff are consistently followed

· Support X-ray operations (Shimadzu unit) as needed after training

· Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members and contribute to a positive work environment

· Provide compassionate care addressing patients' physical and emotional needs

· Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Education & Certification

· Completion of a 24-month AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program

· ARRT certification (preferred)

· Advanced ARRT certification in CT required within 6 months of hire OR completion of an accredited CT program

· SCQRSA state license required

· BLS certification required

· Continuing education required every two years for license renewal

Experience

· Minimum 1 year of experience Preferred.

· Strong CT experience preferred

· Average patient volume: ~20 patients per day

· Patient population: Primarily adults (young adults to elderly)
