Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Accountant III - Finance for a hybrid 6+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Lake Mary, FL. Pay: $43.35 per hour. This role is accountable for delivering effective, Sarbanes-Oxley compliant finance processes in accordance with local and consolidated GAAP.

The ideal candidate will provide useable, accurate, and timely financial information from the point of transaction through to the financial close and external reporting period. This position supports moderately complex end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) accounting processes required to transform data into information for reporting purposes. Responsibilities: Process financial transactions and identify and analyze exceptions Provide support for a wide range of R2R activities such as audits, fulfillment of ad hoc requests, and special project activities Prepare and/or post journal entries for moderately complex general ledger accounts Reconcile general ledger activity to ensure the trial balance includes expected transactions and reflects correct balances Perform moderately complex accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations of accounts or financial data Participate in general ledger events, updating and enhancing documentation for processes Support ERP and other Record to Report support tool implementation activities Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, finance Demonstrated ability to perform basic accounting processes with moderate supervision Relevant work experience in accounting or finance Strong written and oral communication skills in English Private equity fund accounting experience Advanced knowledge of financial instruments, specifically bank loans, bonds, and other fixed income securities.

Good understanding of investor allocations, performance fee and waterfall calculations. Desired skills: Public accounting experience in financial services Experience working the full accounting cycle from transaction through consolidation and close to Financial Reporting Experience with accounting applications such as PeopleSoft Experience with direct customer contact, answering business inquiries Advanced Geneva/Investran experience Advanced in Microsoft Office 4-5 years private equity experience Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
