Residential Service Electrician

What You’ll Do
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential electrical systems.

  • Install and replace panels, breakers, circuits, outlets, switches, lighting, ceiling fans, and other electrical components.

  • Complete service upgrades, wiring repairs, dedicated circuits, and electrical system improvements.

  • Install generators, EV chargers, surge protection, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and other residential electrical equipment.

  • Perform electrical safety inspections and identify code, safety, and performance concerns.

  • Clearly explain findings and present homeowners with appropriate service options.

  • Obtain customer approval before completing work and collect payment when appropriate.

  • Complete accurate estimates, service notes, photos, and customer documentation.

  • Protect customers’ homes and maintain a clean, safe, and professional work area.

  • Maintain assigned vehicles, tools, materials, and truck inventory.

  • Coordinate with customer service, dispatch, and other field teams.

  • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, sales, and customer service training.

What We’re Looking For
  • Previous residential electrical service and repair experience.

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Knowledge of residential wiring methods, electrical systems, and the National Electrical Code.

  • Ability to independently manage service calls from diagnosis through completion.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills.

  • Comfortable explaining options and recommending appropriate solutions to homeowners.

  • Self-motivated, dependable, and driven to achieve performance goals.

  • Commitment to safe, code-compliant, and high-quality workmanship.

  • Applicable electrical license or local credentials preferred.

  • Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications, and field service software.

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Ability to perform physical work in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions.
