Job description

Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Radiology - Interventional

Join a dynamic healthcare team at a respected general acute care hospital located in Grass Valley, CA. This facility is Stroke Certified and provides a comprehensive range of services. As a Radiologist, you will have the opportunity to cover hospital needs, including Interventional Radiology procedures and outpatient services. The hospital's high patient volume ensures a fast-paced and rewarding working environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide hospital coverage, including IR needs and Stroke CTs.
  • Perform lumbar punctures, barium studies, and various centesis exams.
  • Conduct biopsies including thyroid, lung, and other areas.
  • Handle procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, and intra-abdominal abscess drainage.
  • Consult with support staff including Diagnostic Imaging nurses and techs.
  • Interpret an average of 50 studies per day and perform 4-6 procedures daily.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Radiology.
  • Experience with acute care imaging, particularly Stroke CTs.
  • Demonstrated skills in Interventional Radiology procedures.
  • Strong background in patient care and medical imaging.
License and Certification Requirements:
  • State medical license (California) - required.
  • BLS certification - required during credentialing.
  • DEA certification - required during credentialing.
  • California Fluoroscopy certification - required at submission.
  • Clean malpractice history - preferred.
