Job description

Intuit is transforming its People Technology ecosystem to enable secure, scalable, and intelligent workforce experiences. As we digitize and integrate critical People & Places workflows such as performance and workforce planning, the scale, sensitivity, and complexity of People Data access continues to grow.

We are seeking a Staff People Data Access Leader to serve as the single accountable owner for People Data access strategy, governance, and operating model across HR platforms. This role will define the long-term vision and roadmap for how People Data is accessed, governed, and secured ensuring the right users have the right access at the right time, while upholding enterprise-grade security, privacy, and compliance standards.

This is a highly visible, enterprise impact role requiring strong product judgment, systems thinking, and the ability to operate autonomously at Staff level.


Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Ownership
  • Define and own the People Data access product strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned to Intuit's security, privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Establish guiding principles, governance frameworks, and decision models for People Data access across systems and personas.
  • Act as the single accountable product owner for end-to-end access decisions and trade-offs.
Access Governance & Operating Model
  • Design and operationalize scalable access models that balance business velocity with risk management.
  • Define role-based and persona-based access structures across People systems.
  • Continuously assess risk, gaps, and opportunities as new data sources, workflows, and use cases are introduced.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner deeply with P&P, Finance, Legal, Security, and Technology to implement auditable and compliant access solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional execution to integrate access controls into evolving People Tech platforms.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex access and governance decisions.
Systems & Data Evolution
  • Drive evolution of People Data and Systems Access models as business processes are digitized.
  • Ensure People Data systems support workforce planning, compliance, reporting, and enterprise analytics needs.
  • Prevent fragmented ownership and inconsistent access patterns across tools and platforms.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience with demonstrated ownership of complex HR enterprise data platforms, ideally within People systems.
  • Previous experience in managing teams or providing product leadership and direction across matrixed teams, driving alignment and execution at scale.
  • Proven experience defining access product strategy and roadmaps in highly regulated or security-sensitive domains, especially in Workday is a must.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, access control models (RBAC/ABAC), compliance, and privacy principles.
  • Experience partnering with Legal, Security, and Compliance stakeholders in regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and influence senior leaders.
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into structured product solutions.
  • Excellent executive communication skills; able to articulate trade-offs clearly and drive alignment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with HR systems such as Avature, ServiceNow, and other workforce planning tools.
  • Experience leading product initiatives within large-scale digital transformation programs.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data architecture and identity management frameworks.

Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is: 


Bay Area California $ 188,500- 255,000 

Southern California $ 173,500 - 235,000

Plano, TX:  $160,000 - $216,000

Atlanta, GA: $160,000 - $216,000
