Job description

Physical Therapist Job Duties:
  • Evaluates patients and develops individual treatment programs in accordance with physician’s prescriptions. Implements activities designed to treat patients with physical disabilities, disorders and injuries. Performs other related duties including, but not limited to: Employee and public education; new program development; attendance at staff meetings; participation in department committees; continuing education programs and clinical supervision and instruction in affiliated education programs.
  •  
    • Follows treatment plan as established in initial evaluation in order to meet treatment goals.
    • Evaluates patient and formulates treatment plan in coordination with physicians’ prescription.
    • Provides documentation of patient treatments including two-week progress reports, monthly summaries and discharge summaries.
    • Performs patient/ family teaching of home exercise programs.
    • Communicates with physical therapist assistant/ Certified Athletic Trainer (ATCs) in patient treatment planning- assists in clinically supervising assistants/ ATCs and providing clinical oversight to students.
    • Administers medications in a timely manner, safely and in accordance with policy and procedure.
Physical Therapist Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in: Physical Therapy
  • New graduates welcome
  • Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid licensure to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Wisconsin
  • Ability to read, write, hear, speak and comprehend the English language.

Salary Range: Up to $55.00/hr (based on experience)

  • Inpatient differential available
  • Weekend program differential available (15%)
