Job description

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager - Technical (PMT) to own the roadmap for Global Demand Planning's (GDP) Data products. You will build data products that inform Amazon Leo's bandwidth allocation, bandwidth optimization, GTM, pricing and physical inventory allocation decisions. These products must be auditable, highly available, meet a high bar in engineering excellence, and be integration-ready with Amazon Leo's broader planning, commerce, and network systems.
You will also contribute to the build of Amazon Leo's planning optimization system, which combines demand signals across granular space and time units with statistical & economics models and AI agents to help users maximize bandwidth yield for Amazon Leo.
This is a highly technical, highly cross-functional role. You will work directly with Data Engineers, Applied Scientists, and Software Development Engineers to define and deliver the roadmap. Success requires strong business judgment, the ability to dive deep into data, strong applied knowledge of Amazon's AI agent-based applications, excellent written communication, and comfort leading executive-level reviews.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap for GDP's Data products, balancing near-term decision-support needs with long-term investments.
- Define and deliver auditable, highly available data products that inform bandwidth allocation, bandwidth optimization, and inventory allocation decisions across geographies and customer segments.
- Translate ambiguous business and scientific problems into clear product requirements, success metrics, and prioritized backlogs for engineering and science teams.
- Partner with Data Engineers, Applied Scientists, and SDEs to design data products that meet a high bar for engineering excellence, including data quality, lineage, observability, and reliability.
- Ensure products are integration-ready with Amazon Leo's planning, commerce, and network systems by defining clear interfaces, contracts, and SLAs.
- Contribute to the design and build of Amazon Leo's planning optimization system, combining granular space-and-time demand signals with statistical models and AI agents to maximize bandwidth yield.
- Establish durable mechanisms for auditability and trust, enabling stakeholders to trace forecasts and allocation outputs back to source data and modeling assumptions.
- Dive deep into data to validate product performance, identify gaps, and surface insights that shape strategy and roadmap decisions.

About the team
The Amazon Leo Global Demand Planning (GDP) team's mission is to map customer demand across space and time. We enable Amazon Leo's long-term success by delivering actionable insights and scientific forecasts across geographies and customer segments to empower long range planning, capacity simulations, business strategy, and hardware manufacturing recommendations through scalable tools and durable mechanisms.
Within GDP, the Science and Intelligence team builds the data products, forecasting and optimization systems that turn raw demand signals into decisions. We sit at the intersection of data engineering, applied science, and product, and our outputs directly inform how Amazon Leo allocates and optimizes bandwidth, plans inventory, and prioritizes investment across the globe.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
