Job description

Company Description

AVA Technologies Global Corp. is a Veteran-Owned Small Business focused on building and delivering next-generation mission software for the U.S. military and its partners. We specialize in developing cloud-native, cross-platform solutions that connect systems, sensors, and operators across complex operational environments. By working directly with end users, we rapidly translate real-world challenges into deployable capabilities that integrate seamlessly into existing operations and deliver meaningful outcomes where they matter most. We believe the best technology is shaped by those who use it, and we're committed to developing innovative solutions that enhance decision-making, accelerate capability delivery, and strengthen mission effectiveness.

About the Role:

AVA Technologies is seeking a Capability Integration Lead to serve as the critical link between our customers, operational users, and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate is technically curious, customer-focused, and comfortable operating in dynamic environments where mission success depends on rapid problem-solving and effective communication. You'll work directly with government stakeholders, operators, and engineers to resolve technical challenges, support product fielding efforts, and ensure our engineering teams have the operational insight and support they need to deliver exceptional capabilities.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving complex technical problems, and seeing innovative technology successfully transition from development into operational use.

This role requires regular travel to support customers, training events, and field operations. When not in the field, you'll work from AVA Technologies' Headquarters in Southern Pines, NC or at one of our field offices located at Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Fort Carson, Colorado; or Eglin Air Force Base, Florida collaborating directly with our engineers and product teams to improve our products and turn operational feedback into real-world capabilities.

What You’ll Do:

Customer Engagement

  • Serve as the technical bridge between U.S. Government operators and AVA engineering teams, translating mission needs into actionable product improvements.
  • Build trusted relationships with end users to capture operational feedback, emerging requirements, and real-world lessons learned.

Deployment & Integration

  • Deploy, integrate, test, and support AVA technologies within complex mission environments, connecting software capabilities with tactical networks, communications systems, sensors, and other operational platforms.

Problem Solving

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software, networking, and system integration challenges, leading technical investigations and coordinating solutions for critical customer issues.

Product Improvement

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to shape future capabilities, prioritize enhancements, and improve system performance.

Customer Support & Enablement

  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical training, and hands-on support during exercises, evaluations, and fielding events.
  • Develop documentation, training materials, and operational support resources that enable successful deployments, improve system reliability, and increase mission effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field or equivalent military and/or industry experience.
  • Prior military service or experience supporting Department of Defense programs.
  • Active Top Secret U.S. security clearance.
  • Experience deploying, integrating, testing, and supporting software solutions in operational, enterprise, or tactical environments.
  • Experience working with communications systems, sensors, mission command platforms, or other mission-critical technologies.
  • Experience delivering customer training, technical instruction, operational support, and user acceptance activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to mission success, exceptional execution, and delivering results for customers and teammates.

What Will Make You Successful:

  • Measure your success by the success of the team, taking pride in removing obstacles and enabling engineers to focus on building and delivering exceptional products.
  • No task is beneath you—you are equally comfortable coordinating logistics, updating documentation, troubleshooting technical issues, or supporting field operations.
  • Anticipate the needs of engineers, operators, and customers, proactively identifying problems and preparing solutions before they become blockers.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in fast-paced environments where flexibility and initiative are essential.
  • Take ownership of challenges from start to finish, driving issues to resolution and following through on commitments.
  • Build trust through technical competence, responsiveness, professionalism, and a willingness to do whatever is needed to support the mission.
  • Embrace unfamiliar challenges with curiosity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Operate with a high degree of accountability, resourcefulness, and attention to detail, especially when supporting critical customer and operational needs.

Travel:

  • This position will require regular travel (between 25-50%) to support customer engagements, training events, integration activities, testing, and capability fielding efforts. Travel frequency will vary based on program requirements.

Benefits:

At AVA Technologies, we take care of the people who power our mission. Full-time team members enjoy a competitive and well-rounded benefits package that supports both professional growth and personal well-being:

  • Performance-based pay that reflects your experience, contributions, and impact.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield.
  • Life insurance for added peace of mind.
  • Remote work flexibility (as role and mission allow).
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with both Traditional and Roth options.
  • Education and certification assistance to help you advance your skills and career.
  • Generous PTO and holidays, including a December holiday hiatus to recharge.
  • Professional development and certification reimbursement to fuel continuous learning.
