Description

NetCentrics is seeking an experienced AV/VTC Engineer / Hardware-Software Specialist to support the Joint Service Provider (JSP) environment. The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical support for Audio Visual (AV), Video Teleconferencing (VTC), and associated hardware and software systems supporting mission-critical users.


This position requires a technically proficient, customer-focused professional capable of troubleshooting complex AV/VTC issues, supporting conference and collaboration environments, maintaining associated hardware and software, and coordinating with technical teams to ensure reliable service delivery.


The position is contractually aligned to the HW/SW Specialist LCAT.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot AV/VTC hardware and software systems.ย 
  • Provide technical support for video conferencing, audio conferencing, presentation, display, and collaboration technologies.ย 
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, peripheral, and AV/VTC system issues.ย 
  • Support conference rooms and other customer-facing AV/VTC environments, including setup, testing, operation, and troubleshooting.ย 
  • Perform pre-event system checks and provide real-time technical support for meetings, conferences, and other mission-critical events.ย 
  • Install and replace AV/VTC components, displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, codecs, cabling, control devices, and related equipment as authorized.ย 
  • Troubleshoot Windows-based workstations and other hardware/software components associated with AV/VTC environments.ย 
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine system inspections to identify potential failures before they affect operations.ย 
  • Coordinate with network, systems, help desk, configuration management, and other technical personnel to resolve issues that cross functional boundaries.ย 
  • Document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting actions, equipment changes, and resolutions in accordance with program procedures.ย 
  • Maintain accurate hardware/software and configuration information as required.ย 
  • Assist with equipment inventories, technology refreshes, installations, upgrades, and system replacements.ย 
  • Escalate complex technical issues and recurring system problems through established support channels.ย 
  • Follow applicable DoD, JSP, cybersecurity, configuration management, and change-control requirements.ย 
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism when supporting senior government personnel and other mission customers.ย 
  • Perform other AV/VTC and hardware/software support duties within the scope of the assigned LCAT.ย 
Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance or Higher
  • Demonstrated professional experience supporting AV/VTC, audiovisual, unified communications, IT hardware/software, or closely related technologies.ย 
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware and software in an enterprise IT environment.ย 
  • Experience supporting video conferencing and conference-room technologies.ย 
  • Working knowledge of computers, displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, cabling, peripheral devices, and related AV/VTC components.ย 
  • Ability to isolate technical problems and determine whether issues originate with hardware, software, network connectivity, configuration, or peripheral equipment.ย 
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.ย 
  • Ability to document technical issues and resolutions clearly and accurately.ย 
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with a larger technical support team.ย 
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-visibility, mission-focused DoD environment.ย 
  • Must meet all contractual and customer requirements associated with the HW/SW Specialist LCAT.ย 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience supporting AV/VTC environments within the Department of Defense, Pentagon, DISA, JSP, or another federal enterprise environment.ย 
  • Experience with enterprise video conferencing, unified communications, and conference-room control technologies.ย 
  • Experience with AV/VTC equipment from manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, Cisco, Poly, or similar enterprise platforms.ย 
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams or other enterprise collaboration platforms.ย 
  • CompTIA Security+ or other DoD 8140/8570-aligned certification, if applicable to the position.ย 
  • AV-industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS are a plus.ย 
  • Experience working within ITIL-based incident, request, problem, and change-management processes.ย 
Work Environment

This position provides onsite support in a secure federal/DoD environment. The employee must be able to work directly with end users, technical teams, and government stakeholders and may be required to support scheduled meetings or mission events with strict timelines.
