ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Conti LLC is seeking an experienced AV Engineer / Field Engineer to join our growing Technology Division based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the engineering, design, and commissioning of Audio-Visual systems across a wide range of commercial and enterprise projects. You will work alongside a collaborative team of Sales, Project Management, and Field professionals to deliver high-quality AV solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The AV Field Engineer is responsible for engineering, supporting, and commissioning all types of Audio-Visual projects. This role requires working effectively and professionally with clients, field technicians, service technicians, programmers, general contractors, and other trades. You will collaborate closely with the Sales and Project Management teams to review bids, project scopes, and client requirements to properly design and engineer AV systems. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with internal departments such as Accounting and Management, as well as preparing required project documentation such as submittals, as-builts, and close-out packages.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate directly with all departments: Sales, Project Management, CAD, Field Technicians, Service, Programming, and Management.
  • Attend site visits and site project meetings as required.
  • Provide both pre-sales and post-sales support, including proposal reviews, specifications analysis, bid drawing evaluations, and assistance with quote modifications.
  • Work with engineering team members to create necessary drawings using AutoCAD, referencing specifications, architectural drawings, addendums, and quoting software.
  • Develop complete drawing packages including setup drawings, signal flow (one-line) diagrams, risers, wiring details, and other required documentation.
  • Provide on-site project support, working closely with Technicians and Project Managers to ensure proper implementation.
  • Perform on-site system commissioning, verify system design, and complete commissioning documentation to meet project requirements.
  • Update and modify quoting system details based on engineered drawings to ensure correct equipment ordering with minimal errors or omissions.
  • Provide technical phone support to technicians, service personnel, sales, and project management.
  • Provide remote technical support to clients during business hours and, when necessary, after hours.
  • Create project-required documentation such as commissioning forms, IP/MAC address forms, testing documents, and other close-out materials.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
