Job Summary:
Sunrise Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help secure their next generation of connected vehicles. This role will focus on securing embedded controllers, vehicle networks, and cloud‑based services, ensuring products are resilient against cyber threats while meeting regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Define and review security architectures for embedded systems, influencing the design of new features (embedded, cloud and mobile) to ensure that our security needs can be met
• Design key management, and access control mechanisms for resource‑constrained embedded environments
• Design and develop new security solutions to support autonomy
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8+ years of full-stack software development experience, including Python-based backend services
• Experience with Linux distributions
• Experience in the application of cryptographic security controls for embedded systems
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering or experience that would be equivalent.
Preferred:
• Experience in the development of IoT devices
• PKI experience, including certificate lifecycle management and key protection
• Experience in a DevOps role
• Experience developing AWS-native applications
