We provide comprehensive support for vehicle testing and development, ensuring top-notch service through our dedicated team of professionals who are committed to quality and customer satisfaction.

We are looking for dedicated and professional Durability Drivers that will help with automotive testing at the Toyota Proving Grounds in Wittmann, AZ.

Schedule

2nd Shift:

Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 12:00am

3rd Shift: Options available:

Saturday - Wednesday 11:30 pm - 8:00 am

Sunday - Thursday 11:30 pm - 8:00 am

Tuesday - Saturday 11:30 pm - 8:00 am

Job Description / Responsibilities

- Complete vehicle and component preparation and inspection.

- Collect detailed data through proper use of data acquisition equipment in regard to vehicle issues.

- Initiate and monitor EV Charging etc.

- Drive safely in a variety of weather conditions.

- Complete visual inspections and check vehicle fluids as required.

- Operate vehicles through varies courses and environments to ensure vehicles are operating at high standards set by the customer

- Be willing to work weekends and OT as needed.

*Best candidates for this role are those with automotive testing backgrounds such as working at proving grounds before and/or real-world automotive testing*

Driver Candidate Requirements:

- Safely operate test vehicles in a wide range of testing conditions.

- Follow detailed instructions for vehicle and component preparation to begin testing. This may include, but is not limited to, full visual inspection of vehicle including tires, glass, body panels, and interior.

- Checking all vehicle fluids, air pressure, and function of components.

- Collect data through various data acquisition systems and communicate in accordance with internal customer (Engineering) protocol.

- Document tests, repairs, and configurations in descriptive and understandable notes.

- Be computer literate.

- Must be able to understand and operate current electronic office equipment (PC hardware and Google Docs, basic data entry and interface with data collection devices.

- Able to drive safely in various conditions.

- Follow policies and take ownership for working safely to avoid risks to self and others.

- Be prepared to work weekends or overtime if test validation is necessary.

- Be highly organized, dedicated to assignments and committed to safety!

- Able to work cooperatively in diverse and challenging environment. Have good command of the English language with good written and verbal communication skills.

- High School Diploma or equivalent education. An associate degree with an emphasis in Automotive or related field would be a plus.

- A clean motor vehicle driving record is necessary.

- Must be flexible and receptive in a rapidly changing daily work environment.

Requirements / Skills

- Must pass Drug Test and Background Check

- Must have valid Arizona Driver's License

- Must have a clean driving record

- Preferred to have Proving Ground/Vehicle Testing Experience, but not required

- Must be Proficient with computer software and hardware.

- Must be Proficient with MS Office - Word Excel and able to interface with data devices.

- Must be able to accurately document detailed information regarding their assigned test

- Highly organized and dedicated to detailing the project as required.

- High School Diploma or equivalent education. An associate degree with an emphasis in Automotive or related field would be a plus.

- Willing to accomplish new challenges and assignments as given.

- EV Experience is NOT required but a PLUS.

- Required Training will be provided. ~2 weeks in duration; provided on 1st Shift only

- Must be flexible with scheduling as it pertains to vehicle testing needs in the future.
