Schumacher Automotive Group in West Palm Beach is seeking a Collision Center Estimator responsible for appraising vehicle damage to determine cost of repairs for insurance claim settlements while delivering the best experience to our customers.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Examines damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage.
  • Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
  • Reviews repair cost estimates with body shop technician.
  • Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.
  • Evaluates practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident with customer and insurance carrier.
  • Determines salvage value on total vehicle loss.
  • Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
  • Estimates cost of repainting, converting to special purposes, or customizing undamaged vehicles.
  • Keeps customer up to date and informed during repair process.
  • Experience with using CCC One estimating systems.

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an estimator.
  • 3+ years' knowledge of collision repair processes.
  • I Car certification strongly preferred.
  • A professional with the ability to work independently, multitask and manage time efficiently.
  • Proficient computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communicator to support relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Must be available to work Weekdays and some Saturdays.
  • Outgoing and service-oriented attitude.
  • Valid FL driver's license with a clean driving history.
  • Must submit to and pass a background and drug screen.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an estimator.
  • CCC One estimating systems strongly preferred.
  • I Car certification strongly preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation within the West Palm Beach area
  • Positive attitude.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • A valid driver's license.
