Position Summary
CDK is hiring a full-time outside Account Development Executivewho enjoys bringing in new business and building new relationships in a field sales role.
Our Account Development Executive creates business relationships exclusively in Competitive Dealership Accounts in a specific geographical area. Grow new market share through conquest sales, selling the depth and breadth of CDK's product portfolio. Work in conjunction with all of your channel partners to increase sales opportunities of CDK Strategic Products. Achieve annual assigned sales plan, working under guidance of Director of Sales.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions
• Aggressively acquire new business strengthening and influencing key automotive dealer relationships.
• Create activity by cold calling into competitive accounts daily.
• Identify and define growth opportunities in the market for the business.
• Develop an overall sales plan and forecast sales results for both the short and long term.
• 75% travel in the field, including overnight travel
• Ability to work independently/in a team environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Valid Driver's License/travel documents (if applicable)
• Follow all CDK Global policies and procedures
• Complete all mandatory assigned compliance tasks and acknowledgements
• Meet or exceed all performance expectations
Required Job Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 5-7 years in an outside sales business development role, including either: experience selling complex solutions to automotive dealerships or prior retail dealership experience.
• Experience using consultative solution selling to align client's business needs with a solution
• Demonstrated proven track record selling B2B
• Follow all CDK Global policies and procedures
• Meet or exceed all performance expectations
• Proven ability to systematically develop account plans, drive new leads, business opportunities, and close business
• Thorough knowledge of automotive retail processes and products (including financing, leasing, accessories, and service and protection plan offerings)
• Significant understanding of dealer tools, including CRMs, desking solutions, and DMS products
• High level of comfort with digital technology solutions
• Ability to think quickly on your feet and handle ambiguity without getting stressed out
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Customer first mentality
• Process driven but flexible enough to adapt processes as required by circumstances
Salary: $100,000 + Commissions
