Job description

Martin Transportation Systems has an opening for a WorkingShop Foremanat our Springfield, ILterminal. This position would be overseeing a 3 shift operation withstandard day hours.

REQUIRMENTS:

  • Knowledge and experience with the following engine systems:
    • Cummins
    • Detroit
  • Knowledge of different tires & cost of maintaining tires on tractors and trailers
  • Cost of maintaining tractors and trailers
  • Maintain and preserve proper inventory management
  • Familiar with outlook
  • Basic knowledge of how to use excel
  • 3+ Years diesel mechanic experience
  • ASE certified

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professionalism-in both employee management and customer service
  • Transportation or automotive management experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of achievement and success
