Automotive Technical Apprentice

The Automotive Technical Apprentice position is a focused entry point into the professional service industry. Operating within a high-volume, professional service environment, the Apprentice will support our mission of delivering reliable, high-quality vehicle care. This role is designed for a dedicated individual who values technical precision and is eager to learn the foundational systems of modern automotive repair through direct mentorship.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Assistance: Provide direct support to Lead Technicians on complex repair orders, diagnostic procedures, and heavy-line maintenance.
Preventative Maintenance: Execute standard maintenance protocols, including oil and filter service, tire rotations, and comprehensive fluid inspections.ย
Facility Integrity: Maintain the organization and safety of the service bays. Ensure all specialized tools and shop equipment are accounted for and in professional working order.
Property Stewardship: Uphold strict "Red Carpet" standards for guest vehicles, utilizing protective covers and ensuring every vehicle is returned in cleaner condition than it arrived.ย
Logistics Support: Assist in the movement of vehicles through the service workflow to maximize shop efficiency and minimize guest wait times.
Parts Integration: Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure accurate components are staged for upcoming repair stages.

Consistency: Arrive on time, in a professional uniform, ready to contribute to a fast-paced team environment.
Attention to Detail: Follow manufacturer-certified procedures and safety protocols without exception.
Communication: Actively participate in departmental briefings to understand how technical performance impacts overall dealership growth and guest satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Currently enrolled in High School (Junior or Senior standing); preferred focus on Automotive or STEM coursework.
Aptitude: Strong mechanical reasoning and a desire to transition from basic knowledge to professional certification.
Requirements: A valid driverโs license (or learnerโs permit) and a clean driving record are required for vehicle movement.
