Experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Writer to join our team in Hammond La.
Dealership Service Hours Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 pm (Meaning your hours are 7:15 to 6:15 to get your day started and closed...)
Our ideal candidate should have a minimum 2 years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor / Writer or 3 years of Automotive Dealership Experience (CDJR preferred)
Automotive Service Advisor / Writer Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor / Writer

  • Exceptional people and sales skills

  • Must be able to work with multiple customers and "drive" their assigned tech team

  • Professional appearance

  • Strong phone skills

  • Must maintain high CSI - Provide Exceptional Customer Service

  • Strong computer skills

  • Positive attitude with strong work ethic

  • Ability to accurately estimate mechanical repairs based on advisement of technicians

  • Must have a valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record and be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Automotive Service Advisor / Writer Responsibilities:
  • Engage with customers both in person and over the phone to determine their service needs and provide recommendations for services

  • Document customer requests or needs based on details provided

  • Communicate with Service BDC, Technicians and customer.

  • Assist customers with planning around maintenance required for their vehicle as needed

  • Provide follow-ups to customers to provide status updates on their vehicle's service

  • Enter customer data into software to create client profiles

  • Order and intake parts based on service department needs

  • Occasionally pick up customer vehicles and assist in dropping customers off

  • Occasionally Accept payments from customers and process / document receipt

  • Provide an exceptional start-to-finish customer service experience

  • Stay up-to-date on products and services, including warranty information and best practices for customer experience
