What does an automotive repair consultant do?

An Automotive Repair Consultant acts as a liaison between customers and repair technicians at auto service centers. They assess vehicle issues, explain recommended repairs and costs to customers, and ensure that repairs are completed efficiently and satisfactorily. Their role also includes handling customer service, managing repair orders, and providing estimates, making them a key point of contact throughout the repair process.

How does an automotive repair consultant typically collaborate with technicians and customers to ensure a smooth repair process?

An Automotive Repair Consultant acts as a bridge between customers and service technicians by clearly communicating repair needs, timelines, and costs. They gather information from customers about vehicle issues, relay that information to technicians, and keep customers updated on repair progress. This role often involves translating technical details into understandable terms for customers and ensuring any concerns are addressed promptly. Effective collaboration ensures customer satisfaction and helps maintain workflow efficiency in the repair shop.
