Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Automotive Title Clerk to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
As an Automotive Title Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all vehicle transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. You'll be responsible for handling all license and title paperwork for sold vehicles and maintaining up-to-date records, while ensuring compliance with state DMV regulations. Your expertise and attention to detail will help us deliver seamless service to our customers and support the overall efficiency of our dealership.
Key Responsibilities:
Process retail, lease, and wholesale title documentation
Ensure lien perfection within required timeframes
Submit DMV paperwork accurately and timely
Maintain title logs and aging reports
Coordinate with F and I and sales teams to resolve documentation issues
Maintain compliance with state and lender requirements
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state title regulations and processes.
Process and submit all title and license applications for sold vehicles in compliance with state regulations.
Accurately verify and enter vehicle title information into the dealership's system.
Coordinate the release of titles and license plates to customers in a timely manner.
Manage the daily processing of payoffs, dealer trades, and wholesale transactions.
Communicate with customers, finance institutions, and state agencies regarding titling and registration issues.
Track and resolve any title-related discrepancies.
Organize and file paperwork accurately to ensure records are up to date.
Assist with other administrative tasks as needed within the office.
Qualifications:
Experience in automotive title and licensing processes
Prior dealership experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with DMS systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state title regulations and processes.
Strong compliance discipline.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Bilingual English/Spanish
