We are looking to add a dedicated and talented Quality Control Inspector to our team on second shift. In this position, you will work closely on an integrated team of Cesium managers, engineers, and other cross-functional personnel in the production of state-of-the-art satellite communication systems.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Executing Quality Control processes associated with purchased product, manufacturing operations, and customer quality requirements.
  • Inspection of printed circuit boards / assemblies (PCB / PCBAs), verification of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) components, and cable assemblies.
  • Inspection using calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, and VMMs (Vision Measuring Machine).
  • Documentation of inspection activities using electronic information systems, written logs, and labels.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvements of inspection methods, inspection plans, and internal quality procedures and processes.
  • Assist with the resolution to internal/external nonconformance using root cause, corrective action, and 8D methodologies.
  • Assist in data analysis and reporting of department metrics as required.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the resolution of audit findings, observations, and recommendations.
  • Assist with the control and disposition of non-conforming material (MRB).
  • Drive scheduling of day-to-day processes; ensure timely and accurate turnaround.
  • Other QC duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred. H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience including a minimum of 2 years of experience in PCB/PCBA inspection required.
  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience with microscopic visual inspection.
  • IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 certification.
  • Experience with ERP and PLM software systems.
  • Proficiency with reading engineering documents, CAD drawings, and detailed work instructions.
  • Strong digital, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a positive and collaborative manner.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in the aerospace or electronics industry.
