We're growing and looking for a motivated individual to join our service team as an Automotive Service Advisor at our Sioux City Honda and Hyundai dealerships.


As the next Service Advisor at Vern Eide Hyundai, you will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional customer experience from the moment a client arrives until their vehicle is ready for pickup. You will communicate with customers to understand their needs, manage repair and service requests, and liaise with our technicians to ensure timely and accurate service. Pay for this job is commission-based. Service advisors usually make between $50,000 and $100,000 annually.

What You’ll Do- Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers and assist with questions and service needs.
  • Conduct vehicle walk-arounds, document concerns, and gather information to help technicians diagnose and repair vehicles.
  • Assess customer vehicle needs by discussing concerns, reviewing maintenance history, and recommending appropriate services.
  • Prioritize service recommendations and discuss future maintenance needs with customers.
  • Keep customers informed throughout the service process, including repair status, completion times, costs, and any changes to recommended work.
  • Schedule service appointments and collect customer and vehicle information.
  • Educate customers on vehicle care, maintenance, and operating features.
  • Provide knowledgeable answers regarding vehicle functions and service recommendations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a positive service experience.
  • Prepare service paperwork, process payments, and explain invoices.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the dealership positively.


What We’re Looking For-Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor is required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple clients and projects
  • Knowledge of automotive repair and service terminology
  • Proficiency in service management software and basic computer skills
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
