Your Contribution

As an Electrical Engineer - Project and Maintenance, you will be reporting to Head of Process Technology & Technical Services. Lead engineer/project manager that will research, plan, and design electrical and electromechanical products and systems. Also, will direct and coordinate activities involved in building, operation, application, installation, and repair of electrical or electromechanical products and systems by performing the following duties.

This role is responsible to:

  • Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Designs products or systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines, assist with mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems.
  • Plans and directs engineering personnel in building of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
  • Directs and coordinates building and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
  • Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment.
  • Designs products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.
  • Evaluates field installations and recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
  • Participates in project management for assigned projects.
  • Programs systems involving PLCs, robotics, HMIs, CNC, and motion systems.
  • Researches and analyzes data such as root cause and failure analysis to help reduce downtime.
  • Takes historical data, and compiles and analyzes it to offer suggestions to improve overall machine reliability and performance.
  • Reviews the PM system to help improve machine performance and reliability.
  • Works with manufacturers and vendors to help solve problems with their equipment.
  • Develops procedures for machine repair processes to standardize rebuilds, repairs, and PM’s.
  • Sources parts for better prices and reliability.
  • Reviews parts usage to determine problem areas.
  • Assist with SAP related issues.
  • Participates in maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment.
  • Evaluates and offers input on design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
  • Use of CAD to provide drawing for new or modified mechanical/structural parts, electrical schematics, pneumatic schematics and hydraulic schematics.
  • Participates in and/or manages projects related to machinery and/or automation.
  • Troubleshoots systems involving PLCs, Robotics, HMIs, CNC, and Motion Systems.
  • Modifies electrical hardware designs and assist with daily repairs

Your Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university, two years related experience, and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Applicant should be knowledgeable in the areas of industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC machine controls, robotics, blueprint interpretation, precision measurement techniques, welding, and building techniques.
