Job Summary

As a Project Manager II, you will play a vital role in providing direction for projects as you will be responsible for participating proactively with executive management and department heads across the corporation. In addition, you will provide leadership for IT and business users in the selection and evaluation of technology solutions to meet business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects meeting business expectations for time, cost, quality, and functional capabilities.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the project life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close).
  • Participate proactively with the corporation, business lines, functional units, and small business units in the development and implementation of strategic plans for business initiatives.
  • Ensure projects meet key stakeholder expectations while delivering the capabilities and results promised to the business.
Qualifications
  • 4-year degree required.
  • PMP certification required or Masters in IT Project Management.
  • 5 years of experience leading or managing projects or experience in a professional insurance or IT capacity.
  • Proven track record of successful software development initiatives and be recognized as a leader.
  • Ability to lead business critical projects and provide users with a vision for the future for the Alfa companies.
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, and assertiveness.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups.
