Xcite Automotive is hiring an experienced Automotive Painter to support our partner dealers in Bradenton Florida!

Job Description: In this role the painter is responsible for delivering retail-ready paint finishes on new and used vehicles in a production-driven environment. Candidates must be able to independently complete automotive refinishing from surface prep through final clear coat while meeting daily throughput and quality standards. Compensation is based on experience and skill level

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform automotive painting and refinishing to dealership retail standards
  • Complete spot repairs, blends, and panel refinishing
  • Mix and match paint to OEM color specifications
  • Apply primer, base coat, and clear coat
  • Use paint booths, HVLP spray guns, sanding, masking, and prep techniques
  • Maintain quality and efficiency in a fast-paced, production environment
  • Follow safety and environmental guidelines

Must Have Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of professional automotive painting experience
  • Prior experience in a dealership, collision repair shop, or reconditioning center
  • Proven ability to perform end-to-end automotive refinishing independently
  • Strong knowledge of color matching, blending, and finish correction
  • Hands-on experience with paint booths, HVLP spray guns, sanding, masking, and priming
  • Ability to meet daily production goals without sacrificing quality
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Nice To Have Qualifications: 

  • Experience in a high-volume dealership or recon operation
  • Familiarity with waterborne paint systems
  • I-CAR, ASE, or manufacturer refinishing certifications
  • Experience with minor body repair or paintless dent repair (PDR)
  • Ability to assist or mentor paint preppers or junior technicians
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
