Job Title: Automotive BOM Change Coordinator
About Cognizant's Mobility Practice:
Cognizant Mobility is the premier automotive engineering services division of Cognizant that is focused on smart connected vehicle engineering and software delivery. Our clients include well known Automotive OEMs and Electric/Autonomous Start Up Companies that leverage our automotive engineering expertise.
We are looking for talented engineers with backgrounds in Electrical and Computer Engineering for such roles as Vehicle Systems Engineering, Electrical Design and Release, High Voltage Wire Harness Design and Packaging, Embedded Software Development and Algorithm Research, AUTOSAR Model Based System Design, Validation, Hardware in the Loop Integration, Functional Safety, Vehicle Triage, SWAT and Launch Support, etc.
What you'll be doing:
Support engineering program deliverables, coordinate non-design attributes in FEDEBOM, lead DV test planning & vehicle scheduling, ensure prototype and production tool orders go out on time.
Responsibilities:
  • Release changes on time to support change/program timing using WERS
  • Provide business owners with completion date tasks to support change completion timing
  • Report out change and task (name and date) status weekly
  • Escalate tasks that fall behind to ensure changes are completed on time
  • Enter non-design part attributes into FEDEBOM to support program milestone timing
  • Publish and update Design Verification plan
  • Manage test schedule & vehicle usage schedule so that all testing can complete by program milestone.
  • Ensure prototype and production Tooling orders go out on time to support program dates for program vehicle builds and testing milestone timing
