Annual Salary: $120,000 - $175,000 per annum

A leading engineering company located in Austin, Texas (USA) who specialize in Renewable Clean Energy are now hiring for a brand-new Embedded Software Engineer to join the growing team and business on a permanent basis. This Embedded Software Engineering role is well suited and open for Mid-Level through to Senior Embedded Software Engineers.


Salary on offer:

The annual salary on offer for the successful Embedded Software Engineer is $120,000 - $175,000 per annum.


Summary of the Embedded Software Engineering Role:

The successful Embedded Software will take ownership to lead the architecture, development, verification, and lifecycle ownership of Embedded SW & Firmware development for the company’s advanced products and technology.


Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills:

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of up to 5 years industry experience
  • Embedded Software Programming in C, C++
  • Experience of RTOS – FreeRTOS, Zephyr, Embedded Linux
  • Microcontrollers – STM32, ARM Cortex-M, ESP32, PIC, AVR
  • Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRa, LTE
  • Experience of Low-level firmware or bare metal
  • Python, Linux Bash Scripting – Bonus
  • Ability to use test equipment – Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Multimeters etc
  • Experience with version control systems – GIT, SVN, JIRA or similar
  • Experience in industries for Renewable Energy, Robotics, Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, Medical devices, Industrial automation
  • Strong problem-solving skills, innovative, communication and team-work skills
