Job description


Job Title: Automotive Clean-up Attendant 

Job Summary: 

An Automotive Clean-up Attendant uses various products, equipment, and techniques, which results in a clean automobile that goes far beyond the scope of a routine carwash. An Automotive Clean-up Attendant should have the ability to work in a team, as well as with minimal supervision. 

Essential Duties:   

  • Apply soap to car or truck and scrub using appropriate cloth.
  • Spray rims and clean dirt from tires and rims thoroughly.
  • Spray window cleaner on windows and dry off.
  • Apply wax using circular motions.
  • Ensure all soap is rinsed from car before beginning other applications.
  • Remove debris from car.
  • Use shop vacuum to suck up dirt and debris from carpets.
  • Use upholstery cleaner to remove spots and stains from carpets.
  • Remove car mats and shake debris out.
  • Clean rear windows.
  • Use chemicals to wipe down interior of car.
  • Clean dash and console with soft cloth.
  • Use cleaning agents, brushes, cloths, and hoses.
  • Apply several coats of wax as needed.
  • Remove car seats and vacuum to remove debris as needed
  • Ensure patrons' valuables and cash remain undisturbed in vehicle.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • General housekeeping, picking up trash, empty trash cans, sweep, etc.
  • All other duties assigned

CAR WASH:

  • Participate in wash process and apply car wash equipment
  • Pre-wash exterior areas of cars
  • Carry out periodic maintenance of equipment used in washing to keep them in proper working order
  • Perform cleaning of facility and ensure everything is kept in the appropriate place and organized
  • Provide assistance to customers in any area concerning car wash process
  • Move or direct cars into the wash area with a pleasant, focused, and competent attitude
  • Carry out visual inspection of vehicles to confirm their condition before sending them into the wash area
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to in carrying out given tasks daily
  • Ensure vacuums are unclogged, trash cans emptied, and hoses properly hung
  • With a sense of urgency, ensure the right thing is done at the right time with customers and fellow teammates.

Skills Required:   

Experience driving vehicles of different types, including automatic and manual cars (if applicable). 

Foot attire Requirements:                                                                   Educational Requirements:  

Slip Resistant Shoes (no open toe shoes or crocs allowed)           None 

Physical Requirements:  

Must be able to lift 50 lbs...   Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, as well as squat and bend over repeatedly.  Constant and repetitive use of arms and hands. 

 

Licensing or other special certifications: 

  1. Valid Driver’s License (if applicable) 
  2. Be Insurable through Jenkins & Wynne, Inc. underwriter (if applicable)

Full Time/Part Time:   

Full time shifts are: Day: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.                                                  Night: 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.
