Job description

Position Description:

  • The Vehicle Dynamics Tuning Engineer plays an integral part in the vehicle dynamics development by providing feedback to programs based on test results.
  • Besides driving and testing vehicles, close communication with simulation engineers is important to help guide the program towards the requirements.
  • Experience from proving grounds and tuning vehicles based on subjective evaluation is required.
  • Hence, deep understanding of suspension and chassis architecture and components, and their effect on ride and handling is important.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent
  • Experience in automotive engineering product development
  • Suspension architecture and development experience
  • Vehicle Ride and Handling Tuning or Development Experience
  • Proactive and Reactive problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience from cross functional interaction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university
  • Test Driving experience
  • Racing experience/background
  • Vehicle dynamics simulation experience
