Standardized Work & Process Discipline
  • Collaborate with Process Technicians to establish optimal tooling sequences and molding setups.
  • Partner with technical teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance workflow and reduce cycle times.
  • Ensure adherence to key operational and quality disciplines, including accurate documentation and changeover reporting.
  • Develop and implement SOPs that establish accountability and reinforce standardized work practices.
  • Work closely with Technical Manufacturing leadership to maintain consistent and disciplined operating procedures.
  • Monitor sustaining engineering projects and ensure adequate technical support and resources are available.
  • Enforce standard work practices and ensure proper evaluation and approval of tool room work orders.
  • Collaborate with Tooling and Quality Engineers to evaluate mold designs, support documentation development, and ensure product quality expectations are achieved.

Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
  • Serve as a technical resource for Process Technicians by providing guidance and support on molding and process-related challenges.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving injection molding machines, tooling, and materials.
  • Evaluate tooling performance and determine repair or modification requirements to achieve production objectives.
  • Partner with the tool room to troubleshoot mold performance issues and prioritize repairs.
  • Provide technical expertise to Quality teams and support inspection criteria development and repair communication.
  • Investigate and resolve production challenges, including launch and customer-related concerns.
  • Collaborate with Quality and customer-facing teams to provide technical support during calls, visits, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate tooling repairs and vendor support activities to ensure production readiness.
  • Establish standards for ancillary equipment purchase, deployment, and maintenance.

Leadership, Management & Accountability
  • Build and develop a high-performing processing team aligned with PMC's values and commitment to excellence.
  • Participate in team member selection and provide coaching, guidance, and clear performance expectations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in injection molding and automation technologies while mentoring direct reports.
