OVERVIEW

The primary mission of the Accessories Technician is to install all Tint, Paint Protection Film, Leather, and Protection package products onto new and used vehicles. A successful candidate for the Accessories Technician position will have knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance, and great attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install of Xpel Paint Protection Film, Leather, and Protection package products.
  • Wash vehicle exterior, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
  • Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
  • Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
  • Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following recommendations of the product's manufacturer.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Manual dexterity.  
  • Good judgment.  
  • Ability to use hand and power tools and other machinery safely.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • One year experience with paint protection film or tint installation helpful.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is a physically demanding position. The Accessories Technician will stand six to eight hours per shift. Will lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds, will bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and feel. Will use hand and power tools. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, paint, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The working conditions described above are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
