Production Supervisor – Automotive Manufacturing

Overview

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to manage small work teams in a fast-paced, high-volume, unionized manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring workplace safety, meeting production targets, developing team members, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and achieving key business metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise production teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure production plans and operational goals are achieved.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment while enforcing safety procedures.
  • Lead, train, coach, and develop production team members.
  • Allocate manpower effectively and manage attendance.
  • Analyze production performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor quality performance and address production issues.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges.
  • Lead improvement activities focused on safety, quality, cost, throughput, and waste reduction.
  • Present production metrics and operational updates as needed.
  • Build effective working relationships with employees and leadership across the organization.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications to support daily operations and reporting.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience working in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work first or second shift, overtime, and weekends as required.
