The Wi-Fi Quality Engineering team is seeking a mid level quality engineer to work on systems and processes that will test every software change of the Wi-Fi stack. If you are a highly motivated engineer with aspirations to build powerful automation, including AI-assisted and intelligent testing systems, that runs on every class of Apple device, we would love to discuss this opportunity with you!
Description
The Wi-Fi Quality Engineering CI team consists of automation engineers, tools developers and UI engineers who contribute by improving the quality of the Wi-Fi user experience. This team creates automation that runs on every class of Apple device, builds internal tools that help validate new technologies, including AI-driven test intelligence, and works on user facing features that ship in our products. You will work with both development and testing teams to improve testability through code design and writing automation that runs on a large scale. Ideal candidates are specialists in automation testing, automating UI components, unit testing, non-UI automation testing, and are curious about applying AI/ML approaches to make testing smarter and more efficient. Experience in app development for macOS or iOS is a benefit.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience working in Software QA Automation Engineering
You have experience in one or more Scripting/Programming Languages including Swift/SwiftUI, Objective C or Python
You have experience in automating tests at Unit, API, UI, non-UI level
You have experience with Continuous Integration systems
Ability to investigate, debug and triage difficult problems and independently work towards results
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to facilitate close interaction with development teams, management, and other organizations within Apple
You have experience with AI and problem solving
BS in computer science or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with applying AI/ML techniques (e.g., anomaly detection, log/failure classification, LLM-based tooling) to test automation, triage, or analytics
You have experience integrating AI-assisted developer tools (e.g., LLM-based assistants, agentic workflows, MCP-based tooling) into engineering pipelines
Effectively use AI agents as debugging, troubleshooting, design, and implementation tools
You are obsessively passionate and inquisitive, and seek to tackle everyday problems in innovative ways
You thrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while driving multiple projects across teams
You are laser-focused on the smallest details that are meaningful to our customers
