Job Description

Position Summary:

You will join a large Product Quality team supporting the Plex application within Rockwell Automation. You will work in an Agile environment daily with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Usability. You will partner with a team of Software Quality Engineers. You will report to a Quality Manager to ensure highquality product delivery.

Your Responsibilities:
  • You will have a blend of manual and automation testing skills.
  • You will create test strategies, test cases, status, and metrics. Will provide testing documentation. You will grow the regression test repository.
  • You will run automated test scripts, prioritize use cases to script, read scripts, contribute to code reviews and write low-medium complexity automation test scripts. You will maintain automation test repositories.
  • You will become a subject matter expert in your assigned area. You will use expertise in business knowledge and system functionality and exploratory testing to find defects outside of the main use cases.
  • You will confirm that requirements are testable as defined. You will communicate the test plan, test progress, and defect reporting. You will create and troubleshoot defects.
  • You will become a subject matter expert on quality contributing to quality process improvements and promote quality across all teams.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Typically requires 5+ years of software application testing experience including test deliverable development and both manual and automated test execution.
  • Knowledge of quality best practices and methodologies for software testing.
  • Experience with JMeter, Selenium WebDriver or other open source/commercial market-leading solutions for functional, regression, or performance test automation.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Posman, SOapUI and Rest Assured.
  • Experience with containerized testing to build, run and validate applications using Docker Desktop.
  • Understanding of relational database concepts and SQL language. You will use SQL for data validation and backend verification.
  • Understanding of quality metrics and ability to develop reports.
  • Working knowledge of Cypress/C#/.NET ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of ERP programs or SaaS.
  • Knowledge of security.
  • Knowledge of Identity Access Management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and qTest software.
  • Work with GitHub co-pilot or other AI.
