Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Gen AI test automation tools (preferably Playwright MCP), UI automation frameworks, Java/Selenium, API testing, databases, and CI/CD and a proven ability to lead, build, and maintain robust test automation frameworks while partnering with architecture leadership. Responsibilities: Partner with the test automation lead architect to support and enhance a hybrid Java/Selenium test environment.

Design, build, and scale a new testing environment using Playwright, with preference for Playwright MCP and Gen AI test automation tools. Create, maintain, and refactor UI automation scripts and frameworks with hands-on development. Develop and execute API test suites for manual and automated testing, including validation and integration coverage.

Implement CI/CD pipelines and integrate automated tests into build and deployment workflows. Troubleshoot test failures, analyze root causes, and drive timely resolutions across UI, API, and environment layers. Apply database basics to validate data, build test data, and verify backend impacts of application changes.

Collaborate with QA analysts, developers, and leadership to align automation strategy and coverage with release goals. Required Skills & Qualifications: Gen AI test automation tools, preferably Playwright MCP. UI automation frameworks with hands-on script creation and maintenance.

Java and Selenium for test automation. API testing experience in both manual and automated approaches. Database basics for data validation and test data management.

CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing. Hands-on mindset with attention to detail and ownership of deliverables. Preferred Skills: Leadership and stakeholder communication skills.

Strong soft skills with cross-functional collaboration. Hands-on development experience beyond test scripting. Work Arrangement and Interview Process: Onsite at Brookfield, WI office.
