Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Java-based automation, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD), and API test automation using Rest Assured. The ideal candidate will be capable of designing scalable automation frameworks, working closely with development teams, and contributing to high-quality software delivery in modern cloud and microservices environments.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Framework & Script Development
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, and Rest Assured.
  • Enhance existing frameworks to improve reusability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Implement BDD using Cucumber and Gherkin in collaboration with development teams.
  • Build end-to-end testing frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
Test Design & Execution
  • Review business requirements, design documents, and technical specifications.
  • Translate requirements into test plans, test strategy, test cases, and automation suites.
  • Perform regression, cross-browser, parallel, and data-driven testing using Selenium, Maven, TestNG.
  • Conduct API automation testing using Rest Assured and Postman.
Quality Assurance & Collaboration
  • Document test results, track defects, and maintain comprehensive quality metrics.
  • Work in Agile environments, participating in sprint ceremonies, grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with developers, product teams, and DevOps to improve testing efficiency and product quality.
  • Use GitHub and other source-control tools for versioning, code reviews, and best-practice enforcement.
Cloud & Microservices Testing
  • Work with microservices-based architectures deployed in PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) or similar cloud environments.
  • Validate REST APIs, request/response payloads, and JSON structures.
Essential Skills

  • API Testing: Postman, Rest Assured
  • Frameworks: Cucumber BDD, Selenium, Java-based frameworks
