Job description

Job Title: Test Lead Engineer/ QA Automation 
Duration: 6+ months
Location: Coppell, TX/ Tampa, FL
 
Your Primary Responsibilities:
• Contribute expertise in the application of different software development and testing methodologies, tools, and technologies
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests across the delivery lifecycle
• Contribute to the design of the automation framework and enhancements
• Maintain traceability from user stories through test cases to automated scripts
• Identify dependencies, define, and communicate environmental and data requirements
• Act as a technical expert on one or more applications utilized by ***
• Research and evaluate technical solutions consistent with *** technology standards
• Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
• Partner with team members to understand software requirements and design automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirements
• Work with peers to mature ways of implementing and maintain continuous testing within the software delivery processes and integrate automated test with CI/CD pipeline
• Collaborate with internal and external teams on development, testing, troubleshooting, and improve overall software quality
• Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
• Prepare, maintain, and execute test cases based on user stories; present results and track defects to closure
• Review test cases / automation approach with stakeholder to ensure comprehensive coverage and acquire feedback
• Track test execution breakthroughs, report on issues and risks with the potential to affect project timelines
• Construct appropriate end-to-end business scenarios through the application of a broad understanding of business objectives and goals
• Collaborate with delivery pipeline teams to drive adoption and resolve open issues.
• Identify dependencies for environmental and data requirements; manage and maintain environment and data.
• Provide mentorship to colleagues related to test coverage and test cases
• Develop a detailed understanding document of the product being delivered
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
• Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Jasmine).
• Experience in writing sophisticated SQL queries.
• Experience with Database testing, ETL testing automation
• Expertise in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with AWS cloud platform.
• Knowledge of performance and security testing.
• ISTQB or equivalent certification.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Preferably from Capital Market domain
• Experienced in onsite/offshore work model and coordination
• Experience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins
• Experience with Snowflake warehouse is an added advantage
• Experience with front-end & backend testing using Java and Selenium.
• Experience leading QA or SDET team is an added advantage
• Experience with ETL testing for tools like Talend or Informatica is an added advantage
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools testing like Power BI, AWS QuickSight is an added advantage
• Detailed understanding of smoke testing, black-box, and non-black box testing, as well as regression testing
• Requires the ability to work well with both business clients and technical team and the ability to work independently, both individually and as part of a team.
