What You'll Do
As a Mechanical Engineering Manager (internally titled: Hardware Integration Manager), you will lead a team responsible for integrating Exotec's robotics solutions with third-party warehouse automation technologies across North America. As both a people leader and technical expert, you will drive project execution, support key client engagements, and help expand Exotec's capabilities as a leading warehouse automation integrator.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Hardware Integration Engineers, supporting performance, engagement, and career growth.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain engineering talent while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
  • Define and drive the strategic direction of the Hardware Integration function across North America.
  • Establish and improve engineering methodologies, deployment processes, and integration best practices.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of hardware integration studies, designs, and customer solutions.
  • Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex integration and deployment challenges.
  • Lead the integration of Exotec technologies with third-party automation systems, including conveyors, sortation equipment, scanners, packaging systems, and other warehouse technologies.
  • Partner closely with Project Management, Software Integration, Sales, Deployment, and Operations teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and act as a senior technical representative throughout project execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, customer satisfaction, and scalability.
  • Support supplier management, equipment selection, and third-party technology integration efforts.
  • Operate as a "working manager," balancing team leadership with direct involvement in customer projects and critical technical initiatives.

  • 10+ years of experience in warehouse automation, material handling, intralogistics, systems integration, or a related industry with 3+ years of experience leading technical or engineering teams

  • Strong client-facing experience and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience integrating third-party automation equipment and technologies
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and materials handling workflows
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel as required to support client projects and business needs

  • 15+ years of relevant industry experience
