Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Automation Engineering Lead / Manager to drive enterprise-wide automation strategy, framework design, and delivery excellence. This role combines deep hands-on automation expertise with strong team leadership and executive-level reporting capabilities.
The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end automation initiatives across UI, API, and platform layers while consolidating automation metrics into actionable management dashboards and business insights.
Key Responsibilities
1) Automation Engineering & Solution Delivery
  • Lead design and implementation of scalable end-to-end automation solutions (UI, API, RPA, data automation, workflow orchestration).
  • Define automation architecture, reusable frameworks, and engineering standards.
  • Enforce code quality, governance, and best practices.
  • Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (scheduled runs, reporting, alerts, automated evidence capture).
  • Perform technical reviews and conduct root cause analysis to improve suite stability and resilience.
  • Collaborate with architects, QA, DevOps, and product teams to align automation strategy with business objectives.

2) Team Leadership & People Management (Core Responsibility)
  • Manage and mentor a team of 2-10+ automation engineers.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
  • Plan sprint capacity, prioritize workstreams, and ensure release commitments are met.
  • Foster a culture of engineering excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years in Automation Engineering (QA Automation, Selenium, Platform Automation, or related domains).
  • 2+ years leading teams (formal people management or strong delivery leadership experience).
  • Strong experience building automation frameworks using:
    • Java / Python / JavaScript
  • UI Automation: Selenium, Playwright
  • API Automation: RestAssured, Postman
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Git and defect tracking tools (Jira / Azure DevOps).
  • Proven experience building executive dashboards and defining measurable KPIs.
