Summary:

The Automation Engineer shall play a critical role in inducing, designing and realizing advanced business and sports models to advance the Milwaukee Bucks arena office, business office and front office. There are many opportunities across these lines of business to re-invent and transform workflows and processes to achieve positive outcomes with great positive impact. This role will focus primarily on implementing and managing innovative technologies to drive automation, efficiency and cost effectiveness. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) this role with focus primarily on execution of strategy and ideas gleaned from the line of business experts and other enterprises. The Automation Engineer shall be part of the Technology Program Management Office working hand-in-hand with project managers as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Working jointly with the CTO, project managers, and LOB stakeholders to understand automation, industrial transformation and LEAN opportunities in Continuous Improvement working sessions.
  • Through reasoning, deduction and induction define scope, functional requirements and technical requirements leveraging modern and next generation technologies to realize viable business solutions.
  • Executing solutions to produce planned outcome leveraging technical skills and vendor partnerships.
  • Ability to take proof of concepts to full production implementations. Execute LOB business technology deployment and support life cycle needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of expertise in software development, APIs and modern IDEs.
  • Anthropic Claude experience preferred.
  • Python, C, or C++ programming languages preferred.
  • Technical and functional collaboration skills across any industrial workflow.
  • Experience managing projects and project budgets.
  • Expertise in automated data collection and processing leveraging APIs or other means for structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience in formal development methodologies such as Agile Framework, Waterfall, and modern AI enhanced IDEs.
  • High level of business and technology curiosity and continuous learning.
  • Positive self-starter with a good work ethic, ability to meet deadlines, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and good attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and project execution skills, including time management and multitasking.
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
