Job description

All experience levels will be considered with the job title adjusted accordingly. Serve as a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer within a large agile project. This position will be part of a dedicated project team focused entirely on growth in a core business area. The emphasis of this team will be to implement a new suite of insurance software to lay the groundwork for future growth. Specifically, this position will be focused on designing and writing programs that run automatic tests on new software. Open to the candidate working out of the home office in Neenah, WI, hybrid, or a full remote opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ability to identify, write, and execute automation test cases from an inventory of functional test cases for large projects - including integration and end-to-end test cases
  • Understands business requirements by collaborating with the business analysts and software engineers to ensure consistent alignment and project direction
  • Refine, plan, identify and escalate testing risks or impediments
  • Ability to understand and complete industry testing standards and provide reporting metrics when applicable
  • Provide input into issue resolution by performing root cause analysis on automation test results
  • Complete tasks in a timely and professional manner and respond to users or team members in a timely and professional manner
  • Establish trusting and credible relationships with Quality Assurance and Project team members
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative demeanor
  • Follow Automation best practices in place for the Quality Assurance Automation area
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement

QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT related field or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Knowledge of the SDLC, business processes, and technical aspects of software solutions
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and scrum framework
  • 3+ years of in-depth quality assurance experience
  • 2+ years of experience working with Katalon or another similar automation testing tool
  • 2+ years of experience working with ADO Test Plans or another similar inventory testing tool
  • Highly motivated, organized, big-picture thinker and a self-starter
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills

PREFERRED:
  • Software development, quality management software experience, and collaboration tool(s) experience
  • Hands on experience in working with SQL queries
  • Hands on experience in automating RESTful API's testing (e.g Postman, Rest Assured, SOAP UI etc.)
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
