HVAC Controls Service Technician

 

Building Automation Systems (BAS)

A respected and growing Building Automation and HVAC Controls contractor is seeking a hands-on BAS / HVAC Controls Service Technician to troubleshoot, service, commission, and maintain commercial HVAC control and Building Automation Systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting and working directly with customers, building systems, and a variety of commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC control systems and Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Perform preventive maintenance and service on HVAC controls, controllers, sensors, actuators, and related equipment
  • Install, wire, replace, and modify BAS control devices, sensors, wiring, and system components as needed
  • Commission systems and verify proper operation following repairs, upgrades, and modifications
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and sequences of operation
  • Work directly with building owners, facility personnel, and project teams to resolve system issues
  • Respond to service calls and critical system outages when required
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and maintenance records
  • Assist with customer training and support as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with HVAC Controls or Building Automation Systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Working knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and control systems
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings
  • Experience with BAS platforms such as Johnson Controls, Siemens, Trane, Schneider Electric, Automated Logic, Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Distech, Alerton, Carrier, Delta, or related systems
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to customer sites
