Job description

The Electrical Engineer will support extrusion manufacturing operations by improving electrical and control system reliability, leading capital projects, driving safety and sustainability initiatives, and providing hands-on technical support in a high-performance aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing electrical, automation, and control systems that are critical to plant operations and equipment performance.


Support and improve electrical, controls, and automation systems for extrusion production equipment.

•    Lead electrical equipment upgrades, control system modernizations, installations, and facility expansion projects.

•   Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for electrical assets.

•   Manage CAPEX budgets, project schedules, and implementation activities.

•   Coordinate work with maintenance personnel, contractors, OEMs, and vendors.

•   Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, motion control, and instrumentation issues.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, reliability, productivity, and energy efficiency.

•   Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to achieve operational goals.

•   Support electrical system design, documentation, and standards development.

•   Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, and company standards.


•   Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

•   3+ years of manufacturing, industrial, or controls engineering experience.

•   Strong knowledge of industrial power systems, motor controls, PLCs, and automation equipment.

•   Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, and industrial networks.

•   Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.

•   Experience managing capital projects from concept through commissioning.

•   Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Experience in aerospace manufacturing, aluminum extrusion, metals manufacturing, or other heavy industrial environments preferred.
