The EIS Apprenticeship is designed tobuildtechnical skills in the electrical and instrumentation disciplineand gainexperience in field operations. As part of the program, apprentices will work with a range of equipment and systems such as overhead power lines, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), transmitters, and communication systems and more, providing valuable exposure to real-world applications in the industry.

Through a combination of structured training and immersive on-the-job learning, Apprentices are introduced to the complexity and criticality of work management, maintenance execution, and equipment servicing/repair.Theposition provides direct exposure to the Chevron Way Values and the strong safety culture that defines the Shale & Tight Business.

Apprenticeswillwork closely with adedicated mentor, complete two assignments across different operational areas to develop a broad understanding of how teamsand functions work together to safely deliver production and minimizedowntime andwill alsoparticipatein computer-based and classroom training.

This is atemporary6monthfield-basedposition.

Required Qualifications

  • High SchoolDiplomaor equivalent

  • Must have a validDriver'sLicense

  • Ability and willingness towork dayand night shift work, weekends, and holidays based on assigned workschedule.

  • Live within 50 miles of the work location or willingness torelocatewithin 50 miles of the work location for the duration of the apprenticeship

  • This is a Safety Sensitive Position. Candidates mustdemonstratepersonal commitment to Incident and Injury Free Operations with a proven record in Safety and Reliability


Preferred Qualifications

  • Applicants must meet at least one of the following: complete an Applied Associates of Science degree (such asInstrumentation andControl(PLC), Computer Information Systems,Automation,Electrical, Electronicsor related field)ORhave equivalent education or military trainingORfinish a certificate programdegree (such as Instrumentation and Control (PLC), Computer Information Systems, Automation, Electrical, Electronics or related field)with previous oil & gas or similar industry experience.Additionally, a minimum GPA of 2.5 in core classes isrequired, andtranscriptsmust be uploaded to the applicant's online profile

  • Previousexperience with reliability,safetyand/or environmentalprocess related issues.

  • Previousexperiencewith pneumatic/electronic instrumentation

  • Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and an aptitude for learning new software applications.

  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, andinternal and external customers.
