Job Title: Application Security Engineer – Android/iOS
Location: Chicago, IL
Employment Type: Full-Time (W2)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct static and dynamic security testing on Android/iOS applications
  • Review mobile app architecture, code, and security controls for vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with developers to integrate security throughout the SDLC
  • Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for mobile platforms
  • Stay updated with the latest security threats, tools, and best practices
  • Guide secure coding practices and conduct regular security awareness sessions
  • Evaluate third-party libraries and SDKs for potential security risks
  • Work with incident response teams to investigate and remediate mobile security issues

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years in Application Security or Mobile App Development with security focus
  • Strong knowledge of mobile platforms (Android and iOS), and their security models
  • Experience with static (SAST) and dynamic (DAST) analysis tools
  • Familiarity with tools such as MobSF, Frida, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, QARK, Drozer, etc.
  • Understanding of OWASP Mobile Top 10, CWE, and secure coding best practices
  • Familiarity with reverse engineering, obfuscation techniques, and mobile malware analysis
  • Proficiency in Java/Kotlin (Android), Objective-C/Swift (iOS)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mobile app pentesting experience
