Job description

Primary position responsibilities, not limited to other tasks that may be assigned according to the project or needs of our client:

  • Supporting customers and outside sales team selecting and implementing automation products. 
  • The position also requires collaboration with vendors to ensure optimal product selection, as well as internal support for sales teams through technical guidance, product interchanges, bill-of-material management, and supplier updates.
  • Own the entire sales cycle from quote to implementation with engineering team/panel shop.
  • VFD Start up support.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers.
  • Support key accounts who consistently purchase automation products from Apex Industrial Automation. Support can include training, product enhancements, and programming support.
  •  Collaborate with vendors at customer sites when necessary to determine the best products to select for those customers. 
  • Support Automation Sales Specialist and inside sales with product selection, interchange, bill of material management and supplier updates. 
  • Continuous training to stay current with primary vendor’s new products and technologies

Qualifications for this position:

  • Degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • Automation Sales Experience Preferred.
  • Experience with VFD’s preferred.
  • Experience programming/troubleshooting VFD’s preferred.
  • Experience with Studio 5000 or PLC environments a plus.
  • Experience with VFD’s preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with clients, engineers, electricians, and operations personnel.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability of working independently and within a team
