Automation Engineer (Ansible / DevOps / Test Automation)

Chandler, AZ (Hybrid โ€“ 3 Days on-Site each week)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Automation Engineer to join a fast-paced enterprise environment within a leading financial services organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong experience in infrastructure automation, scripting, and database technologies, along with exposure to test automation frameworks.

You will play a key role in building, enhancing, and maintaining automation solutions that support critical systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Ansible and Shell scripting
  • Support and enhance automation frameworks across infrastructure and application layers
  • Work with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases for automation, data handling, and validation
  • Contribute to test automation efforts using tools such as Selenium, Java, and Cucumber (as needed)
  • Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team, participating in standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Utilize tools like Jira to track work and manage deliverables
  • Troubleshoot issues and continuously improve system reliability and efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in automation engineering or similar role
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Ansible
    • Shell scripting (Linux environment)
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • MySQL and/or PostgreSQL databases
  • Solid understanding of automation concepts and best practices
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Python scripting
  • Familiarity with Sybase databases
  • Exposure to test automation tools such as:
    • Selenium
    • Java
    • Cucumber
