Senior Services of America is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accounting Manager to join our Home Office accounting team. This leadership role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys balancing technical accounting responsibilities with team leadership, process improvement, and strategic financial support.
The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee accounting operations for multiple senior living communities and Home Office entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient month-end close processes.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the month-end close process and financial reporting for multiple entities.
  • Review general ledger activity, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
  • Support treasury management, cash forecasting, banking activities, and financial analysis.
  • Partner with operations leaders, ownership groups, auditors, and Home Office departments.
  • Provide guidance, training, and workflow support to accounting team members.
  • Assist with audits, tax support, compliance reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Help strengthen internal controls, documentation, automation, and accounting best practices.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software.
